Our Partners

Care2Prevent partners with other programs at the University of Chicago Medicine in its unified goal to reduce the impact of HIV in the community. We also have partnerships with numerous community agencies.

Longtime partners include Deborah’s Place, Lawrence Hall, Casa Esperanza and Covenant House of Illinois, among others.

Our weekly infectious disease (ID) clinics take place with our partner clinic, Friend Health. Clients may see our team for ID care, and often work with Friend Health providers for primary care, women’s health, psychiatry and other specialties.

The Village at the Chicago Center for HIV Elimination (CCHE) addresses needs concerning HIV prevention, care and the elimination of stigmas associated with HIV. Utilizing supportive services, research, and outreach & engagement, the Village’s empathetic staff approaches each client’s need holistically while centering queer Black communities on the south side of Chicago. Services are free, regardless of income or insurance status. A client can receive: HIV and STI testing, linkage to care for HIV, PrEP care and primary care, case management, mental wellness support (individual and group sessions), and LGBQ & TGNC drop-in programming (POP), all free-of-charge. In addition to these services, community members can also participate in paid opportunities such as Community Advisory Board meetings and research.
